The House of Things - Xmas Collaboration, 2022
The Yule Cabinet was designed with a simple belief — that the best things you bring into a home shouldn't belong to just one occasion. The starting point was the feeling of the season, not the occasion itself. Laughter around a table. People you love in the same room. The particular warmth of time spent together without an agenda.
Christmas gave the cabinet its colours — red, green, and white — and its motifs: wreath, holly, ornaments, bells. But the design was always meant to carry something larger than a single day on the calendar.
The result is a cabinet that holds the spirit of celebration quietly — present enough to mark the season, restrained enough to belong to every one that follows. Constructed in wood, veneer, and engineered wood, it works as a buffet, a console, or an entryway piece — adapting to the space and the life around it.
Designed in collaboration with The House of Things, the cabinet — form, surface, and illustration — was conceived as a whole. A piece of furniture that is also a piece of art, and above all, a reason to gather.
The Yule Cabinet is still available through The House of Things. Get in touch to bring one home.
